Vintage Treasures Market a Success!

Saturday was a very busy day. We will probably have to go junking before Junk Bonanza in September as our inventory is now very low.
Group photo taken after Ki came to visit.
It is always a delight to talk with her and of course, her husband Kerry too. They had a busy day planned and it was nice that they were able to make time to stop here too.

Tents are ready for Vintage Treasures Market

The tents arrived about noon today and we worked at getting them marked off for spaces for the vendors and then the weather changed on us about 6:30 PM and the tent people came about 8 PM and dropped all the sides for us because of possible bad weather. Well, the weather went around us so hopefully we will be ready to put the sides up and begin setting up tomorrow. I hope the weather holds for the weekend.

More work on getting ready for Vintage Treasures Market

This is Frannie among the items we are setting up in our retro section on the front porch. She was digging through a box for fabric and guess what she found! So.... she just had to put it on.

After working for several hours painting, arranging and hauling from one location to another
This is where we really wish we were all sitting.
Luckly this is in my front garden and we can at least look at it from time to time

Wine Bottle Fountain

Sister #2 Frannie had a birthday and this was made as a gift for her. The nail keg is one that I did for a college project back in 1969!!! It was made into a stool with storage back then--we have gotten a little more creative since then. Well, we drink wine now too. Keg holds plastic container for water and pump -- black metal tray with bottles, the bottles standing are glued to tray the one laying down has a hole for tube to feed water up. The container at the bottom is filled with small rocks first and then topped off with wine corks. There is another tube running back into the keg so the water recycles
