Curbside finds this weekend in St. Charles,MN

The first night out we had to go with flashlights in hand as it was already 11:30 PM. Only able to fill back of van once.
The next night it was earlier but, it was raining - buckets!! But after two more van fills, the back of the pickup and a smaller trailer. Here are pictures of some of the finds. You will see most of this at
Junk Bonanza in Sept.

Junk {re}defined Market

The Pfarkel sisters are getting ready for our spring market on Fri - Sat, May 8 & 9 from 10 to 5 at the Victorian Lace in St. Charles, MN. It is like spring cleaning with a little bit of a twist. We also will be having City-wide garage sales and city-wide cleanup day on the same weekend, which means we will be running in all directions. Our junk market sale will be in the house while the neices will be taking care of the garage sale at the garage and driveway and we will still have to make it around town to see what everyone else is throwing away curbside. Curbside is where we get our best things.

Vintage Treasures Market

It has been awhile since I last posted and I think I am going to get better at this but......
Anyway, the Pfarkel sisters are planning a couple of things for spring and summer.
First is our spring open house for Junk {re}defined on May 8 & 9, 2009 from 9 to 5
located at 1512 Whitewater Ave., St. Charles, MN.; inside the Victorian Lace Inn. We are then open occasional Friday & Saturdays during the summer.

The Pfarkel Sisters along with Marge of Emma's Nook and Granny are planning for a market event here in St. Charles at the Winona County Fair Grounds.
Vintage Treasures Market
June 18 - 20, 2209
cost $90
We are looking for vendors and artisans with quality one of a kind cottage, vintage, antique and/ or repurposed wares. We do not want new or reproduction items.
We only have space for a limited number of vendors, so if you would like additional information on this event you may contact me by blog--email at viclaceskv@prodigy.net

We already have 3 vendors signed up from last weeks mailing.

more ornament projects

This is an old umbrella that no longer had any cloth but, the handle on it is just wonderful so it was saved and this is what we did to it with some more of the old ornaments. It has a stopper on it so that it does not open or close all the way and then it is ready to be hung over a table or in a window.

We took an old cake stand arranged some of the ornaments and put this

glass dome over it. Wonderful or a table center piece.

Working on Christmas projects

We have a collection of tree ornaments and we put our ideas to work coming up with projects to put them to best use. Some of these were even in their orginal old boxes (we saved those from the project pile)
Old bed spring used and we just spun the
ornaments into place they stay well without glue so that they can be moved around.
