more ornament projects

This is an old umbrella that no longer had any cloth but, the handle on it is just wonderful so it was saved and this is what we did to it with some more of the old ornaments. It has a stopper on it so that it does not open or close all the way and then it is ready to be hung over a table or in a window.

We took an old cake stand arranged some of the ornaments and put this

glass dome over it. Wonderful or a table center piece.

Working on Christmas projects

We have a collection of tree ornaments and we put our ideas to work coming up with projects to put them to best use. Some of these were even in their orginal old boxes (we saved those from the project pile)
Old bed spring used and we just spun the
ornaments into place they stay well without glue so that they can be moved around.

It will be starting this friday, November 7 and I am sure Thursday night will be a late one.
It will be held at the Victorian Lace Inn in St. Charles, MN on fridays and saturdays during the month of November from 9 to 5.
We have antiques, vintage, rustic and primitive wares, plus seasonal items.
Hope to see you here.

Sandy is out of quarantine

Sandy has made it to her winter home. Pfarkel sister Frannie had to move other toys out of the way to get Sandy inside and we did have to look for pasture for her. Then we had a Cowboy picnic to welcome her home.
Sandy has been getting ready for Halloween and the Pfarkel Sister's first fall 'Junk' Boutique. We will be hosting it at my place in St. Charles on the Fridays & Saturdays in November starting Nov. 7

Junk {re}defined helps with breast cancer charity auction

The three Pfarkel sisters of Junk {Re}defined will be helping with the 5th annual Trash to Treasure Breast Cancer Charity Auction this Friday August 22, 2008. It all starts with a wine tasting and music by The Bandanas at 4:30 PM. The live auction will start at 6PM where there will be 50+ items available to bid on. All have been repurposed or redesigned into a new use treasure from something that was once discarded, some which have been donated for redesign and other items that have been found curbside and redesigned. The event is held in St. Charles MN during our Gladiolus Days Celebration at the Victorian Lace Tearoom, owned by one of the Pfarkel sisters at 1512 Whitewater Ave.
